New Self-Adhesive Liquid Silicone Rubber from WACKER
Nordmann is pleased to market this innovative product in Europe. A distinctive feature of ELASTOSIL® LR 5471 is its very low content of volatile components after curing. As a result, even without post-curing, the material meets the requirements for food-contact applications in accordance with the recommendations of the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) as well as the corresponding national requirements in other European countries.
Potential applications range from cooking and kitchen utensils to medical products and infant care components. In addition, the new liquid silicone rubber offers impressive elasticity and strength. With an elongation at break of up to 570 percent and a tensile strength of up to 38 N/mm, the material is also suitable for demanding applications such as seals, flexible scrapers for baking and kitchen utensils, or medical components.
