Nordmann receives certification for food
This new achievement represents another important step forward for Nordmann, strengthening its position as a leading supplier in the industry and its ability to deliver premium food ingredients. “These certifications demonstrate that the materials we supply for the food industry meet the highest level of safety standards. Our customers can trust this, and they also can count on us to continue optimizing our processes,” says Dr. Christian Gradert, Group HSEQ & Sustainability Director at Nordmann.

Ensuring safe food
Receiving certification in accordance with HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points System) aligns with Nordmann’s goal of ensuring food safety. The internationally recognized HACCP concept serves to increase the safety of food supply, protect consumers from health risks linked to food contamination and guarantee the safety and quality of food products.
Shared growth in the Nordmann Group
The successful HACCP certification of Nordmann’s subsidiaries in Austria and Switzerland follows the integration of Nordmann Italy into the ISO 9001 Group certificate last year. France and Sweden are next in line.
Nordmann’s ongoing growth and expansion as a unified group has meant the standardization of quality management processes and consolidation of certifications. “This allows us to work more efficiently across international borders and meet growing legal requirements around the world,” explains Gradert, who manages the certification project at Nordmann. The HSEQ & Sustainability team’s high level of commitment and hard work have been instrumental in achieving these successes. “Everyone has played their part in making sure our processes meet the strict standards involved. This kind of shared success motivates us a great deal,” remarks Gradert.
Mandatory certifications
Part of Nordmann’s HSEQ & Sustainability team, Marlene Bader has been overseeing the certification projects for the two subsidiaries in Switzerland and Sweden. She also commends the notable achievements made in recent months: “In the food industry, certified safety is often a fundamental necessity. That’s why it’s especially gratifying that we have been awarded these new certifications and are pursuing more.”
Investing in a safe portfolio
Nordmann is confident about the future after having obtained these two new certifications. The company will continue to invest in standardizing and optimizing its processes in order to maintain a safe and innovative portfolio of high-quality products. “Although we don’t develop or produce anything ourselves, we select our partners carefully to ensure that only safe and sustainable materials are placed on the market,” Marlene Bader confirms. Nordmann also prioritizes the training of its employees and makes sure they stay up to date with the evolving needs of customers – including those related to sustainability.
Focus on sustainability
To strengthen the company’s distribution portfolio in terms of this increasingly important aspect, Nordmann continues to pursue certification for specific materials, e.g. according to ISCC Plus standards or those of the Rainforest Alliance program. As Gradert notes, this not only strengthens the company’s public image but also maintains alignment with the ever-growing demand for sustainable products.
