New for Europe: natural foaming agent from Desert King International
Natural products are now extremely popular among cosmetics consumers, and demand for them is continuing to rise steadily. Desert King International produces Baja YE and Baja YD 50 (INCI: Yucca schidigera Stem Extract) for cosmetics, among other industry sectors, and has been the global market leader in the field of Yucca schidigera extracts for the past 40+ years. The Yucca schidigera plant contains a number of steroids, saponins and polyphenols such as resveratrol, and has been used in Mexico for centuries for its anti-inflammatory and anti-arthritic properties.
A mild and natural co-surfactant
Baja YE is a natural and concentrated extract derived from Yucca schidigera. The mild, liquid co-surfactant makes an excellent foaming agent, especially in cleaning products. For water-free applications, there’s the spray-dried powder and preservative-free extract (Baja YD 50).
Sustainable Yucca harvesting
In addition to Sonora, Mexico and the western United States, Yucca schidigera grows primarily in the Baja California peninsula in Northwestern Mexico, where Desert King International has official permission to harvest the wild plants. During the harvesting process, Desert King International is careful to take a sustainable approach. Additionally, the company is now experimenting with cultivating Yucca plantations in order to satisfy the increasing demand for high-quality Yucca schidigera products in the long-term future.
