Green thermoplastics solutions by Repol

Since its founding in 1975, Nordmann partner Repol has been at the forefront of sustainable practices, having its origin in the recycling of clothing and fishing nets. This commitment to sustainability is being shared by the UBE Group, which acquired Repol in 2019 to bolster its presence in the European market.

The plant site in Castellón (Spain) has been a vital part of the Spanish industrial landscape since 1967, initially focusing on producing Caprolactam and Ammonium Sulphate. Since the entry of UBE Corporation, a Japanese company, in 1993, this strategic site has undergone significant development, strengthening its geographical presence in the Atlantic area but also diversifying its portfolio through innovation and technology to meet market and societal needs. This expansion culminated in the commencement of Polyamide 6 production at the same location in 2004, and has since continued, achieving further milestones in the fully integrated supply chain.

„UBE Vision 2030 Transformation“

Under the "UBE Vision 2030 Transformation," the UBE Group is actively addressing global environmental challenges. With a focus on sustainable growth, it’s implementing management strategies and delivering products and solutions to create real societal value while combatting the negative impacts of climate change. UBE's commitment to social sustainability drives its efforts to generate sustainable growth.

Commitment with sustainability

In conjunction with this, Repol, as a vital component of the UBE Group, is deeply committed to fostering sustainable practices and advocating for increased utilization of recycled materials. Repol certifies the recycled content of its products by an external entity, offering credibility and trust to its business partners and showcasing its commitment with sustainability.

With environmentally friendly technical polyamide compounds for a sustainable future

In alignment with the ambition to achieve Carbon Neutrality by 2050 across the whole group, Repol is at the forefront of developing green Polyamide engineering compounds. Through innovation and dedication, Repol and UBE are driving the transition towards a more sustainable future, offering cutting-edge solutions that prioritize environmental stewardship without compromising on quality and performance.

Versatile and sustainable: PA6 and PA6.6

This is in addition to the extensive product portfolio offered by Repol encompassing a range of options, including PA6 and PA6.6 with diverse modifications tailored to meet specific needs. These modifications span areas such as flammability with UL listing, different reinforcements, color and aesthetics, all while prioritizing sustainability.

Nordmann’s goal in cooperation with Repol is to offer the best bespoke formulations designed to precisely meet the demands of our customers, with the added possibility of utilizing the PA6 / PA6.6 with recycled content instead of virgin material.
