TRISYL® Silica for edible oil refining can be used in the following processes:
- Refining of all animal and vegetable oils and fats
- For selective removal of phospholipids, associated trace metals and soaps in the oil refining process
- Use as a post-bleach agent to remove colloidal nickel and nickel soaps produced during hydrogenation
- For the removal of soaps formed by alkali catalysts during transesterification and methanolysis (instead of water washing)
- For the purification of biofuel feedstocks and biofuel.
