Suramin hexasodium salt is a polysulfonated naphthylurea used as an antiparasitic agent for treating trypanosomiasis (sleeping sickness) and onchocerciasis (river blindness). It inhibits enzymes involved in cell signaling and nucleic acid synthesis.
