Yellow food colorant; extracted from the seeds of the achiote tree (Bixa Orellana). Annatto extract is resistant to light and heat. It can be used in a variety of applications, but is typically used to color cheese, butter, margarine and other dairy products. The colorant is also versatile in sweet products.
