SILRES® HP 2000 is a reactive, amino-functional methylphenyl silicone resin supplied as a 90 wt.% solution in xylene by weight.
The product is typically used as a hardener or crosslinker for cycloaliphatic epoxy resins in two-component high-solids coatings and significantly improves the weathering stability of the coatings compared to organic amine hardeners. These two-component epoxy polysiloxane coatings are an isocyanate-free alternative to two-component polyurethanes as weather-resistant top coats.
