Norantox 168 is a type of organophosphite
- Non-discoloring antioxidant
- Excellent hydrolytic stability (other phosphites are sensitive to hydrolysis)
- Prevents oxidation and changes in molecular weight (through chain scission, etc.)
- Synergistic effect in combination with UV stabilizers or with hindered phenols (phenols improve storage stability and prevent thermo-oxidative degradation)
- Effectively reduces peroxide-induced oxidative degradation
- Norantox 168 is not recommended for sulfur vulcanization (destroyed during the process) and hydrolyses in the presence of acidic material
