INCI:Butyrospermum Parkii Butter Extract
Bioactive shea butter extract, containing triterpene esters (50-65%). Improves the epidermal protective barrier. It protects against the effects of skin aging, collagen degradation and environmental stress. It reduces the activity of collagenase and inflammatory mediators resulting from exposure to the sun. In vitro tests have shown a reduction in the secretion of IL-1α, a cytokine released as a result of irritation. It has an effect on the density of the collagen network in the dermis. It reduces itching, redness and swelling caused, for example, by insect bites. The recommended dosage is 0.1 - 0.5%. It is soluble in oils, esters, synthetic hydrocarbons. The properties have been confirmed in tests: ex vivo, in vitro and in the panel test.
