Bifunctionality: connects the tetrasulfane group with the rubber and the ethoxy group with the silanol groups of the filler
Chemical bonding between the polymer and filler improves physical and mechanical properties (tear strength, modulus, abrasion)
Addition of filler and higher mixing temperatures (120-140 °C) recommended
Mainly sulfur cross-linking compounds
