Used for the formation of reversible inclusion compounds with lipophilic molecules, improvement of bioavailability of active ingredients, solubilization of e.g. water-insoluble active ingredients, delay of active-ingredient release, stabilization of e.g. volatile substances, odor absorption, taste-masking, and emulsifying vegetarian oil/water emulsions.
