Nordmann distributes tie layers from Industrie Polieco-MPB for demanding multilayer films
Today’s market for multilayer barrier structures is marked by a growing demand for thinner materials that are made with the smallest possible amount of polymers but which still offer superior mechanical strength. Barrier films that contain a variety of polymers are more difficult to recycle, but they are nonetheless indispensable for extending shelf life in the world of food packaging. Such barrier films require a tie layer that is thin yet durable enough to minimize the use of functional polymers without incorporating polyolefins. Industrie Polieco-MPB, a leading manufacturer of tie layers and coupling agents, now offers Coesive® L600F as a new solution to support the production of multilayer barrier films.

Effective and easy to process
Coesive® L600F is a ready-to-use maleic anhydride grafted polyethylene adhesive for use in multilayer films and blow molded plastics. It is based entirely on metallocene linear low density polyethylene (m-LLDPE) and used for demanding applications that require greater resistance to mechanical stress, higher levels of extensibility and good optical characteristics. Coesive® L600F performs very well in deep-draw thermoforming, e.g. to produce packaging materials for meat, cheese or ready meals.
Coesive® L600F can be processed easily using standard machines for multilayer films, and the product is suitable for manufacturing both cast and blown films. All Coesive® and Proesive® (PP) products are free of TNPP and compliant with all major food contact regulations.
Coesive® L600F products are distributed by Nordmann in the DACH region as well as in the Czech Republic, France, Hungary, Slovakia and Turkey.
