Strong partners show their expertise at Vitafoods Europe 2021

From 5 to 7 October 2021, the international chemical distributor Nordmann will present itself, together with its co-exhibitor Ingredion and its English subsidiary Melrob Nutrition Ltd., at Vitafoods Europe 2021 in Geneva, the platform for the food supplement industry.

Nordmann, a global distributor of raw materials and specialty chemicals, and Ingredion, a leading company in the production of special starches and food ingredients, are connected by a partnership that has been successful for over 20 years.

Together with Melrob Nutrition, the partners will present a comprehensive range of vitamin and food supplements, covering all product categories from tablets to liquids.

The market for food supplements is constantly in motion. A leading topic that Nordmann is devoting itself to at this year’s trade fair is probiotics. “The research focuses on matters related to the immune system, healthy intestinal flora and various aspects of human wellbeing. In future, probiotics could also play an important role in personalised diet,” says Dr Ulla Seidel, Global Sales Director Life Sciences at Nordmann. “Additionally, prebiotics are growing in popularity, and special importance is assigned to protein-containing food supplements in sports nutrition as well as in age-appropriate dietary concepts,” adds Darren Lister, Commercial Director of Melrob Nutrition.

The appearance at the Geneva trade fair that Nordmann is making together with Ingredion underlines the objective of serving international customers optimally, uncovering potential and utilising existing synergies. “This requires common values and loyal partnerships that grow continuously,” explains Dr Fred Heinze, Business Manager Healthcare Europe at Ingredion Germany.

“Our partner Ingredion is a pioneer when it comes to clean labels. It offers functional native starches – including in organic quality. With the NOVATION^® product line, consumer-friendly organic foods such as baked good fillings, quiche or mayonnaise with an optimal texture and the best taste can be produced,” emphasises Petra Fisch, Sales Director, Life Sciences at Nordmann.

Additionally, Nordmann is presenting new products, such as Carepsyllium^TM, a high-purity psyllium husk powder from Italian manufacturer Caremoli. Nordmann partner DSM Nutritional, in turn, is offering new product concepts in the areas “Essentials for Healthy Aging”, “Power your Performance” and “Essentials for Men”. In the sport nutrition and snack area, Nordmann is presenting the pea protein Vitessence^TM Pulse 1803 from Ingredion. The food additive Talkum from manufacturer Elementis has its premiere at the trade fair, as do the new, fortified Fruit Shapes from Paradise Fruits Solutions – fruit gums from natural fruits, enriched with functional ingredients, such as vitamins and extracts.

Additionally, Nordmann is pleased to welcome two new cooperation partners: Kaffe Bueno with the products KAFFOIL^® and KAFFIBRE^® as well as SUN Chemical with the product line LINABLUE^® Spirulina, which Nordmann will present at the trade fair.

This year, Vitafoods Europe is taking place as a hybrid event. On site, visitors will find Nordmann, Melrob Nutrition and Ingredion from 5 to 7 October at Stand L82. The online event takes place from 4 to 8 October 2021.
