Nordmann France: Technical Sales & Product Manager – Food
Nordmann – an internationally successful chemical distribution group, with around 580 employees and a turnover of around 517 million euros. Through our 24 subsidiary companies in Europe, Asia and North America, we distribute natural and chemical raw materials, additives and speciality chemicals. Founded in 1912, we remain an independent, family-run business.
To support and strengthen our Business Unit Food, we are currently looking for a Technical Sales & Product Manager working remotely for our Nordmann France subsidiary with its office in Annecy.
Your tasks:
- Provide technical and commercial support to customers and their needs
- Build and develop profitable business relationships with both existing and new customers and business partners
- Conduct regular customer visits to strengthen relationships, build trust and initiate new projects
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the food industry
- Maintain a robust project pipeline and ensure accurate documentation in the CRM system
- Develop comprehensive expertise in the assigned product portfolio to support customers with technical challenges
- Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations
- Participate in industry conferences, trade fairs and networking events to strengthen client relationships and enhance industry expertise
Your profile:
- Academic background in biology/agri-food/food-process engineering/formulation or related fields
- 3-5 years minimum experiences in chemical distribution and sales of raw materials in the food industry
- Knowledge in the starch/protein, yeast, vitamin, vegetable oil, and fat markets would be a plus
- Good command of IT tools such as Office, ERP (e.g. SAP), CRM
- Excellent communication, coordination and teamwork skills
- Ability to travel regularly within key markets
- Fluent in both written and spoken English and French, another language is a plus
