In addition to Mingtai, Chinese partners Ningbo Smart Pharmaceuticals and Zhejiang Chemsyn Pharm Co. Ltd. will also be co-exhibiting at the Nordmann stand.

Mingtai will be presenting full details on its new Comprecel® SMCC at the fair, which is the world’s most important trade show for the pharmaceutical industry. The much-anticipated event will be held this week in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.  

Comprecel® SMCC (silicified microcrystalline cellulose) is a combination of microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) and colloidal silicon dioxide (CSD), which provide solid dosage formulations their special and intended characteristics.

“Comprecel® SMCC is multifunctional excipient that requires less complex processing and which has an inherently high level of functionality that it imparts to the final drug formulation,” explains Richer Chen, President & Chairman of  Mingtai. “It gives formulations both optimum compaction and superior flowability,” he continues. On the whole, Comprecel® SMCC improves flow and mixing properties while delivering excellent compressibility and binding properties to solid dosage form formulations of active pharmaceutical ingredients.
